The most idyllic and perfect family weekend break, so good i wish i could keep it as our secret.

We would like to keep this beautiful place our little secret. This was our second visit and even better than the first, a total chill out place for the whole family. Fabulous views, wonderful walks with the dog, totally undisturbed heaven. The hosts Anne and Gordon are wonderful, whole hearted people, it is a home from home without the stresses of the world. Clear evening skies to sit in the hot tub and watch the stars, without a single sound AMAZING. We love this place and will go back time and time again.

Views from the hot tub of rolling hills by day & stars by night. So peaceful & tranquil. The lovely owners try & make your stay perfect.

If you want a place to really get away from everyone then The Larches is perfect - totally private, stunning views, and such a lovely couple to welcome you. The hot tub completes it!! Perfect for a romantic weekend!!

We went to The Larches for a honeymoon and a rest from everything. It was an ideal choice, it is so private, quiet and peaceful. The cabin is extremely well equipped and everything is maintained to a high level, my husband thought it had only just opened. The owners, Gordon and Anne, are a lovely couple, very friendly and helpful, and they also respect your privacy. Nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend this holiday accommodation to anyone, and I certainly hope to go again!

Very peaceful location just a short drive from Bishops Castle. Helpful owners live nearby and are on hand if needed, but are not intrusive at all. Wonderful hot tub to relax in.

This was a great break away. Great location and accommodation. Nice peacful holiday, lovely views from cottage. Owners are very nice and helpful. Some great walks near by, Offa's Dyke path only half a mile down the road. Local pub 3 miles away, in a nice quite village. Just a great place to relax and watch the wildlife.

The Larches is the place to go for a relaxing break the accommodation was spot on and the view's were stunning from every angle. The hot tub was a great place to chill after exploring the local area and the neighbours were so cute (lambs).

Anne & Gordon couldn't have been more helpful. They are lovely, there when you need them but also leave you alone. The cottage has every mod con you could want. The scenery is outstanding and even though we were snowed in we still made full use of the hot tub. The hot tub is great especially in the evening under the stars, when surrounded by snow. Great way to see the New Year in. Anne bought us two make do sledges so that we could sledge in the field. The peace and quiet is just what we needed after a hectic year, no mobile or internet connection in the cottage it was absolutely fabulous. You can still keep in touch with the outside world if you want to by standing on the decking. Would recommend this to anyone as a great place to unwind.

Everyone should have holiday here! Everything about The Larches was exceptional. Perfect location. Clean and very comfortable. Fantastic, well-maintained hot tub. Attentive owners. Well-equipped kitchen. Excellent value for money as it worked out at only £20 per person per night, there's no way you could get a hotel for that!

For a get away from it all break, you won't find a better property. An idyllic setting to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Whether it's for a romantic couples break or a family get away to reconnect this cottage has it all, even a hot tub to soak in after a hard days relaxing.

Our stay at The Larches was fantastic. We are 4 hard working mums who escaped here for a 40th birthday and a relaxing break - we did not leave the cabin all weekend! We had loads of plans to go walking and explore the surrounding areas but the cabin was so well equipped and comfy that we never left!!! We had loads of fun in the hot tub, and Ann and Gordon are brilliant hosts - nothing seems like too much trouble for them. We will be back again, with the family and on our own. Hopefully we can explore the gorgeous surrounding area next time! I would recommend this holiday to everyone - brilliant!

We have stayed in similar properties before but never in such a good location. We had buzzards and red kites flying over us whilst in the hot tub. We will certainly book again!

We have just returned from a long weekend at The Larches and I can definitely say its the nicest place we have stayed in for a long time. The owners are lovely people, very helpful and charming and the accommodation is excellent, spotless, comfortable, roomy and the hot tub is fabulous!!!! The views and walks around the lodge (I'll never eat lamb again they are so beautiful!) are also to be seen. We dined at the nearby village of Bishop's Castle - Castle Hotel and Three Tuns - both lovely food and would recommend to anyone. A day trip to Shrewsbury was worth the journey - a charming town with nice selection of shops, cafes etc. We will definitely visit again to recharge our batteries as soon as possible.
